Paid Traffic

Paid Traffic – Part 1

January 26, 2014 — by Adam Hunt2

So I mentioned in the last post I want to get into paid traffic and explore that area of internet marketing and I decided to go with PPC, CPC and solo ads using Safe Swaps.

I don’t know where I got this mindmap from and I’m sorry I can’t give credit to the person who created it, but it’s amazing, plus it saves you a lot of time doing research. Click here if you want to check it out.

I actually did buy my first paid traffic from adfly few days ago and believe it or not, but according to google analytics I got 1651 new visits that day and it only cost me 5 bucks. I kid you not. I had them sent to the homepage that doesn’t tell you much so the bounce rate was ridiculous 96%. I think it would have made more sense if I had had them go to a squeeze page. It is one single sales page where you offer something in exchange for an email address.

I am actually learning how to create one from scratch, and when I figure it out, I’ll make a video about it, so you can do it too.

Squeeze Page is actually something I am going to be using for all the traffic from these networks.

So I’ve decided to go with AdKnowledge and with Media Traffic. I’ve chosen both because of browsing and reading testimonials and reviews, etc. And also they seem legit. I will go with google adwords as well, but they don’t allow squeeze pages for some reason.

I contacted Adknowledge twice already, but they haven’t replied yet. I’ll probably give them a call to see what’s what.

The next step is to create a squeeze page with mailchimp subscription box. I need to have this done before I set everything up so I don’t have to bother with it anymore.

Quick update

If you want to sign up for Adknowledge advertiser account, make sure when doing it in google chrome, you turn off the extension AdBlock. It will save you a lot of time as to why the fuck nothing works…
