Good ol’ grammar

February 2, 2014 — by Adam Hunt0

I have some titles of topics I plan on writing about, I just write them down and come back later. One of them was about grammar and the basic mistakes people make when writing articles. Who am I to talk about that, right? Well that’s true, I do make a lot of mistakes, but I learned to speak English when I was 17.

I got the idea for this article when I was checking out a site I was recommended. This site offers a service, but after browsing through it I got so put off by the many mistakes I found there, that I just closed the site. This is a shame because I was a potential customer.

Instead of making this article really long, check out the picture below. It says it all. Thanks to whoever created it. I love it..

Don’t hold grudges

January 26, 2014 — by Adam Hunt0

When people ask me if there is anyone I really hate I always tell them no, but for some reason no one believes me. Of course there are people in the world I choose not to talk to, but there isn’t one person I wish only bad things happen to them. I think holding grudges is pointless because the other person is living life somewhere while you’re miserable just thinking and wishing hateful shit on them.

It all changed when I saw this video. Just imagine how difficult it must have been not to seek revenge after 27 years. What a great lesson about forgiveness. It takes a really strong person to look at it like that and you think you’ve got problems. Sadly, he’s not with us anymore, but the message stands. Just watch the video below and you’ll know what I’m talking about.

3 Simple Steps to Stop Procrastination

January 14, 2014 — by Adam Hunt0

When it comes to procrastination I think I am the master of all masters. Your mind can not even comprehend how much I can waste my time, so I know what I am talking about. Without wishing to boast, my teachers always told me I had great potential if only I wasn’t so unbelievably lazy. And if they could see the title of this post and know that I’m the author, they’d probably fall off their chairs laughing.

We’re all full of shit. Literally

January 9, 2014 — by Adam Hunt0

This is a post a had on one of my sites. You can check it out here.

I was reading an interesting article this morning about how more and more people use manure to fertilize their soil to grow better food.

Now that’s interesting. You see, they call it manure, but that’s just a fancy word for feces, which is a fancy word for shit.

So if farmers use shit to help their plants to grow and we then eat those plants… You know what I mean?

I can honestly say, without anybody getting offended, that we all are full of shit then.

Some people are more than others. They must eat a lot of plants.

Do new year’s resolutions work?

January 9, 2014 — by Adam Hunt0

It is an every year’s trend, but Facebook and Twitter are flooded with people talking about their new year’s resolutions. I used to make them as well, but then I just stopped.

So do they work?

Simple is answer is NO. They never do. They’re just pointless. Over the years I’ve come to the conclusion that New Year’s resolutions are for the weak. For those who are more in love with the idea than with the actual action. I tell you what I mean by that. The best example is going to gym or doing some kind of work out. I bet you know people, who keep talking about it, but they have never done anything. It is the same with let’s say starting a blog, studying more, etc. Those who just talk about it, never get there. And this is where I think these resolutions fit. They work as an excuse to not do anything and they just buy more time. So if on the 1st of December I say something like; Yeah I’ll start working out on the 1st of January, what I’m really saying is; I have another month where I don’t have to make excuses.

It is just funny to me how the gym I go to is crowded the first 2-3 months of the year, but then it slowly fades away… It always does.

New Year’s resolutions fall in the same category as “I’ll start on Monday” or “I’ll get to it on the first of next month”. They’re all just excuses, because if you really want to do something, YOU DO IT NOW. That’s how I see it.

So guys please, whatever it is you want to do, just start and don’t mind the date.

See ya

“Quit your 9-5 Job” Bullshit

January 6, 2014 — by Adam Hunt0

I bet you’ve heard this many times. There are a lot of products and different bloggers who talk about it all the time. It is really a sales pitch which seems to work because they all use it. You won’t find a product that teaches how to make money online that doesn’t mention it. When I got into this “making money online” business, this is what grabbed my attention. And let’s be honest, it is a great hook to catch people’s attention and have them visit a site or buy a product even. Who wants to work for 8 hours, 5 days a week?  I don’t know anyone who does.

But I think it’s time to cut the bullshit. All these self-proclaimed gurus (this is a word I despise) should start being honest and start talking about that yes, you can quit your 9-5 job, but to get your online business on track, you’ll have to put in a lot of work. And although you might quit your job you will still have to work at least 8 hours a day. So really what they should start saying is change you 9-5 job to whatever 8 hours a day you want. But that doesn’t sound that appealing, does it?
